Performance analysis of NOMA for Wireless Downlink in Multi-tiers Heterogeneous Network

In this paper, we analysed the performance of Non-orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) for downlink in Multi-tier Heterogenous Network. We focused on evaluating both energy efficiency (EE) and throughput of wireless systems which were applied proposed power allocation algorithm in wireless Heterogenous Radio Access Network (HRAN) system. On the other hand, we were taking into account the power consumption at base stations (BSs) in case of various types of cells such as macro-cell, micro-cell, and pico-cell as well. It showed that the proposed system provided better performance than Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) in terms of EE and throughput.
