Lightning in line as one of the main factors causing the problem and stop power supply line. Lightning is a random phenomenon depends on many different factors, so the implementation of lightning protection for buildings in general, in particular electric lines can only restrict the problem to a reasonable level but can
not completely eliminate the problem. However, when calculating indicators of line surge protection during design, testing and maintenance of the line in the operation has a lot of input parameters and a series of complex formulas must be done . That process really needs a lot of time, effort and of meticulous calculations. Hence, the need to optimize time and reduce workload in the design process as well as the
inspection and maintenance of the line.
