Adsorption Properties of Congo Red from Aqueous Solutions on Activated Humin

Humin is an important fraction of wetland peat organic matter that is known to tightly bind many organic compounds. It can be effectively used as an adsorbent for the removal of congo red from wastewter. Although humin played vital role in pollutant sequestration in environment, a few reports have been published. The objective of this study was to evaluate the role of humin as a biosorbent in the aqueous solution.
