Understanding electricity and electronics

The book introduces the student to modern concepts of electricity and electronics and briefly traces the historical development of these concepts. It shows the relationship be¬tween science and mathematics and beginning concepts in electrical technology. It also includes basic information about the tools, materials, and industrial processes common to electrical and electronic work. The text encourages students to plan electrical projects for themselves; discusses the fundamental theories of electricity and electronics; shows how these theories are applied in the fields of communications, transportation, construction, manufacturing, and the development of electrical power; and discusses occupations in the electrical and electronics industries.
