Elements of biology

The Collection consists of biology textbooks and serials as well as other inprint materials related to either education or science. Of the 466 items in the Collection, 310 are biology textbooks ranging in date from 1902 to 2002. These textbooks form the core of the collection, having been used by Skoog in evaluating the extent evolution has been included in secondary education science instruction. The eleven items connected with the 1981 Texas Textbook Review provide insight into this activity. Other subjects include biology serials and non biology science textbooks.
