A need for a book on electrical drafting was felt several year ago when the author was engaged as an electrical engineer on the design and construction of a large power station and several substations. It was found that while the schools taught excellent courses in mechanical drafting and while their graduates could turn out good drawing of electrical apparatus and circuits paractically none had training in properly showing how drawings should be made to convey to the contractor just how electrical work is to be carried out
