Đề cương chi tiết môn học Khóa luận (Thesis) - Ngành Sư phạm tiếng Anh

Khóa học được thiết kế giúp sinh viên nắm được quy trình thực hiện một bài luận văn tốt nghiệp, từ việc chọn đề tài, thiết kế đề cương nghiên cứu, phương pháp thu thập và xử lý dữ liệu, cũng như cách trình bày luận văn. Qua học phần này, sinh viên sẽ rèn luyện được kỹ năng nghiên cứu độc lập, sưu tầm tài liệu cũng như kỹ năng phân tích, tổng hợp và tư duy phê phán.
Mỗi sinh viên làm việc dưới sự giám sát của giáo viên hướng dẫn và kết quả cuối cùng sẽ được công nhận bởi Hội đồng chấm luận văn. Luận văn phải được bảo vệ trước Hội đồng. Cấu trúc của một bài luận văn thường gồm sáu phần: giới thiệu đề tài nghiên cứu và mục đích nghiên cứu, lịch sử nghiên cứu đề tài, phương pháp nghiên cứu, kết quả nghiên cứu, thảo luận kết quả nghiên cứu và đưa ra đề xuất.

The course is designed to outline the steps of a thesis design and supervise students through the process of conducting and presenting a research project. Students are required to demonstrate research knowledge and understanding of second language research methods through an original research project on a significant topic in the field. This project will involve shaping a research focus, formulating research questions, developing data collecting instruments, analysing data in coherent qualitative and/or quantitative models, and discussing and highlighting findings relevant to the field of second language teaching and learning. Each student will work with a personal thesis supervisor, with the final approval of the thesis being given by the thesis committee. The thesis must be presented at a public oral defence. The structure of a thesis generally includes six primary components, namely the introduction to the problem and research focus in a setting, the literature review, the research methodology, summary of results, discussion of the findings, and recommendations for further research.
