The effects of mass flow rate on heat transfer behaviours for two phase flow in rectangular microchannels

In this paper, the effects of mass flow rate on heat transfer behaviours for two phase flow in
rectangular microchannels were investigated by numerical simulation and experiments. The optimal approach for searching the best value of mass flow rate was studied. It was indicated that the rectangular microchannel heat sink with the mass flow rate of G = 0.4 g/s is the best choice for designing (Based on the fixed parameters as mentioned above) and the total heat flux is about 58 W/cm2. Besides, the effect of inlet water temperature to the nucleation site was also investigated. In addition, the results obtained from numerical simulation were in good agreement with experimental data, with percentage errors (for the location of full vaporization of the water) were less than 0.4 %.
